Revved up with questions?
Here's some nippy answers which cover the main queries about motorbike insurance.
Am I covered to take my bike to UK / Europe and for how long?
You’re covered for UK and European travel, up to 30 days in the UK and 60 days in Europe. Please consult your policy wording for specifics or contact us at 01481 721144.
What is the difference between a "Rider" and a "Specified Bike" policy?
A Rider policy covers “The Rider” for riding any motorcycle, owned or otherwise, within the cc limit. A “Specified Bike” policy insures only the declared bike and its riders.
Do I have to tell my insurer if my bike is modified?
Yes, all modifications must be declared. Failure to do so may completely invalidate your insurance.
Can I ride after a medical procedure?
You can ride as long as it’s not against your medical practitioner’s advice. Riding against advice means you’re uninsured.
What is an excess and can I remove this?
An excess is the first part of each claim you pay, deducted from your claim’s settlement. Standard excesses are fixed but can be increased to lower premiums.
